A Rainy Night in Orta

Orta San Giulio is one of the many smaller cities that I love in Italy. We spent five absolutely stunning days there with friends during Spring a few years back. While I did a fair bit of en-plein air painting while there, this artwork was done at home from a photo taken by my husband one night after a heavy rainfall. It is a highly saturated image making the most of the sparkling reflections in the puddles on the pavers.
